Still delicious, fresh and tasty fish. I LOVE it. I see it's been 5 years but I am still devouring my snapper plate happily. The service was quick and smooth. I work in the area now so I am totally stoked to pick up a plate from time to time.

BlueSalt Fish Grill is a restaurant that fulfills your craving for seafood without breaking the bank. When my wife and I were looking for affordable seafood options, she discovered BlueSalt, and it felt like fate. The food is delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, and the portions are generous. During our last visit, we both ordered entrées, and our total bill came to just $33. The atmosphere is ideal for a beach city--laid-back and relaxing--with both indoor and patio seating available. The menu offers a variety of options, particularly for those who follow a pescatarian diet. I ordered the salmon sandwich, which greatly exceeded my expectations in terms of taste. Adding a squeeze of lemon juice enhanced its flavor even further. The sweet potato fries were seasoned well with salt and pepper and paired nicely with ketchup. I also tried the grilled snapper served over flavored rice, which was very tasty. I plan to return to try the Ahi tuna salad next time. Update: On my most recent visit, I ordered the Ahi tuna, while my wife chose the crab cakes. The tuna was a nice cut, cooked to perfection. I had my Ahi seasoned with Peri Peri sauce but needed more seasoning, so I added some Thai sauce. Together, they created a delicious combination!

Bluesalt Fish Grill is an awesome spot for seafood lovers in the South Bay. With two locations in the area, they deliver quality and variety at a reasonable price. The menu is comprehensive, offering something for everyone. We started with their New England clam chowder, which was creamy and flavorful--definitely one of the highlights. For our main dishes, we ordered the grilled scallops and a fried fish taco. Both were excellent! The fish taco was a standout, especially with its delicious sauce that tied all the flavors together perfectly. They also offer meal deals with a side salad and a drink, making it an even better value. Our entire lunch came to just $35--such a great deal for fresh, tasty seafood. The service was friendly and efficient, and although parking is limited, the interior is spacious and comfortable. Bluesalt Fish Grill is definitely worth a visit for a casual and satisfying seafood meal. We'll be back!

We experienced no wait at the counter. We enjoyed personalized and courteous service throughout our stay: ordering, getting seated, being served, and wrapping up extras to take home. The food was excellent and the prices are almost unbelievable. My Beautiful Bride ordered the Fisherman's Basket (battered and fried cod, shrimp, calamari, crab cake, scallops, and hush puppies). We shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts appetizer (loved the croutons and thin-sliced parmesan). I ordered the grilled special: salmon, mahi mahi, scallops, and shrimp. The entrees each came with two sides. The sides we ordered were very good: sweet potato fries, Cole slaw, brown rice, and grilled corn. The space was busy and a little noisy, but nicely designed with thoughtful accents. The only criticism we had were the small metal chairs. Not comfortable for a long meal.

This review was started & should have been published about 8 years ago! Good to know some restaurants don't change! This place is a solid 3.5 stars but I'll round up because they don't deserve to be rounded down? SO my nephews when they were tiny weenie little cutie pies put me onto this spot! These little monsters have binged on slurpee, subway and sushi but Bluesalt Fish Grill is an addition to the after school lunch spots! You're welcomed with a small appetizer, white fish ceviche and fresh, toasty chips (seem homemade), this is a great way for people to sample the ceviche! Super yummy. I thought it was shrimp ceviche until told otherwise! I've ordered a full size ceviche here in the past, however I highly prefer the small side as I could distinctively taste the fish in the larger portion and I prefer a more balanced flavor profile which I was able to achieve with the smaller version! Bluesalt nailed the varieties of flavors they offer! You can ask to smell or taste test any seasoning prior to ordering! I love this. The Cajun is bomb! Peri peri is hot, definitely got a kick to it. Garlic Butter, smooth as to be expected. Rice and beans are totally on point with flavor and texture! Fish & Chips, french fries are seasoned, soft and on point! The fish has a wonderful buttery taste to it. My nephews used to love this meal. Fried Tacos, the fish is similar in flavor to the fish and chip meal, most likely due to the batter. I enjoyed the plate as it comes with a side of rice and beans. Mahi Mahi Taco, I may need to try this one again as I don't seem to remember it! Salsa bar available on the side!

Amazing selection of wild fish, a rare occurrence around Southern California. Deliciously prepared. The wild Chilean bass was the best we've ever tasted! This is a must place for seafood fans.

After years of being vegan I hesitantly came here for dinner as seafood is not particularly something I enjoy. We were a party of four and we started off with a large white fish ceviche for the table and it was SOOOO good. The fish was flavorful and seems as if it was marinated for the fish to absorb the lime favor. I would like to say that the portion was enough for 2 people not 4. I would definitely order two for a party of four as the portion was small. We also got salmon and swordfish on the grill. It's pretty neat. You are able to choose your own spices and to your liking each dish comes with two sides, you can upgrade the sides if wanted. The grilled salon and sword fish was tender and well seasoned. The cashiers are really helpful as it was my first time and advised me on simply what to get. I personally got the beer battered fish. It was so delicious the batter was not too thick and perfectly fried. The service was pretty friendly and easy. Although you have to go up to the cash register to order yourself once you sit down at the table, the staff comes around to check in to see if anything else is needed for your table. I would definitely say if you're looking for a chill date this is where you would like to go as the ambience is casual and super fun. It does tend to get pretty loud in here so keep that in mind. I would also say that it's pretty stuffy and you can feel the heat in the kitchen. So on a hot summer day, maybe if eat outside. Or hopefully there is some AC. I would definitely eat here again and looking forward to trying the Mexican shrimp cocktail!

Bluesalt has a wide variety of fresh seafood (and other items for non seafood eaters) that is cooked perfectly and well-priced. Every entree is served with your choice of two generously portioned sides. You order at the counter and the food is brought out surprisingly fast for made to order fish. And, if you still have room for dessert, they have an amazing freshly baked chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream served in a small skillet that is way better than similar ones at any other restaurant. Four stars only because it lacks a little bit of ambience being in a strip mall and with furniture that can use an update, but don't let that deter you. I wish this place was closer to the Westside so I could visit it more frequently.

The Service: Staffs are very friendly and helpful. You order & pay at the counter, they will deliver the food to your table. It would be a little bit confusing ordering but they are there to give recommendations. The Food: You choose what kind of fish, what kind of flavor and what kind of side dishes. I have tried several of different fish and love them all. Fish are big portion as well. My favorite sides are corn (the smoky taste~) and quinoa (with some brown rice in it, very filling). Drinking fountain are self-serve. They also sell beer & wine. The Parking: Private parking lot (free)

Good, highly enjoyable but nothing insanely spectacular. * fried fish taco $4 - BOMB. Golden crispy batter. The toppings were average. * mahi mahi fish taco $3.50 - really bad. The fish was chopped up in scraps and dry. * Idaho rainbow trout $22 - glistening, juicy and extremely flavorful even when the spice selection was just sea salt. * halibut $22 - really dry. Wouldn't get again. The sauce bar was closed. Huge parking lot out front. Pay at the cash register then sit down to eat
